Patton PX405 is the best fan on the market, no exceptions
The Patton PX405 is the best fan on the market, no exceptions. It is solidly built of metal and durable rubber mounts for a smooth sound. It has three speeds; the lowest barely makes any sound at all, while the high speed blows as hard as you could want in a home. I have used fans since I was a child as a sleep aid. I have owned many fans, several from Patton. Previous Patton fans tended to be `full blast', `full blast plus' and `right speed for full speed'. That is, they lacked a slower speed. The PX405 solved that problem. Fans over time can get `lose', possibly squeaky or rattle. The PX405 solves that by good engineering and not cutting corners. Parts are welded, not just screwed. This will out blow, out last, and be quieter than any fan I know of.
READ before u BUY
This is probably the best fan ive ever bought but it does have its flaws.
First I'd like to say it's durable and blows enormous amounts of air on level 3. But, with that said, its made in china and wasnt put together as good as it could have been. I had to send the first one back because of bad demensions... it couldnt be assembled. I heard that they used to be built in the USA, but i guess since they are made in china now, the quality is questionable.
Second... contrary to what others may have said, I love this fan for in home use. It sits 5 feet from my TV and when the fan is on level 1 and 2, i have no trouble hearing the TV, and im so used to the sound of the fan, that i just tune it out. BUT, on level 3, thats a different story... this fan should have had 4 settings because the jump between level 2 and 3 is doubled. On level three the fan gets loud but it feels so good. Its not a bad loud, its just well... loud. I dont mind the sound because its...
Does the job but noisy
It really does shift some air but mine has an annoying click/click noise as it rotates. You can't really use it and watch tv but then again, I don't think this is really meant for domestic use.
