Hunter 22381 Girl's Room Dual Use Light Kit

I am not a fan of this light. The paint on the flowers seeems to be rushed and not clean. This uses 2 60W B-10 candelabra bulbs that were not sufficient light for my room. I did not like the way the semi flush install looked. (I did not add to a fan)

I love this light for my granddaughters room. It looks perfect. The perfect light for a little princess room. 5 stars.

The light works very well and is able to fit energy efficient candelabra bulbs. Giving it 4 stars because the paint job is a little messy with loose edges on the white paint. Feel they could have paid more attention to the details in painting the flowers, etc.

Really nice but expensive
Let me state up front that I bought this grill from another website for a much lower price (let's call it 90% off list--it's since gone up to more than it is here so it was probably a price mistake). I bought it because of its price, and the thought that I could grill indoors or just for myself without dragging out my big Red grill or building a fire in a charcoal pit. It may sound like sacrilege, but sometimes a quick burger, chicken, or steak dinner (especially for one) isn't worth all the work, and some people (thankfully not me) can't have gas or charcoal where they live--I'd move. But this was a good excuse to add electric grilling to my arsenal.

Assembly is easy and quick--took me maybe 15 minutes and that was taking my time and checking out the goods. Build quality is average for quality appliances these days, nothing spectacular with lots of plastic but no major shortcomings that I saw. At the price everyone is asking for this grill I would be let down, though. One...

Great Electric Grill!!
This grill is like many others but, it can be used to smoke the meat or food on the grill by just soaking some woodchips in aluminum foil for 20 minutes or more. You will love it. The stereo is a great feature for a grill. You are able to sit out side and listen to music anytime you want, you don't even have to be grilling. I love that it takes the fat away from the food and deposits it into a container. The only concern that I have is that we have more fat coming out than the container can keep up with. Because you see the grill shuts down when you pull out the container to empty. This is a great addition to any home, patio, deck, even tabletop!!

Hand Mixer

Escellent!
It's fantastic! Easy to set up, easy to take apart and clean, small enough to store easily. It makes everything so much easier.
At first I thought there was no cord, based on the picture, so I was concerned - however, upon arrival, I was able to open it and lo, there is a cord! :)

This is the first mixer I have purchased in 20 years. The first time I used it to combine sugar and butter. Two days later I used it to combine sugar and egg whites. Before I finished the sugar and egg whites it stopped working.

This was totally frustrating and I caution anyone against purchasing this mixer.

Perhaps I should have known better when I bought this hand mixer as it wasn't very expensive...But, I am still very disappointed.
I set out to make from scratch blueberry mini muffins, and I was excited to use my hand mixer for the first time. Even though I bought it several months ago, I didn't have a need to use it until now. It lasted NEARLY ten minutes.
Yep, 10 minutes is all I got...
I could smell something burning, and because I had just turned on the oven to pre-heat I was hoping it was something burning off in there...sadly, I could feel the hand mixer heating up, and I knew better.
A few moments later, it just stopped working.
I turned it off, unplugged it and waited a few for it to cool down, but it wouldn't start back up. I had to complete the blueberry muffins stirring by hand. I'm hoping I will be able to return the mixer. I don't recommend this mixer at all, unless you enjoy hand mixing, literally.

Panasonic MC-CL933 'Jet Force' Canister Vacuum Cleaner

Vacuum under king size beds with ease
This is the most modern looking vacuum I ever had - and I had more than 7 in the last 5 years. From an exterior point of view, I cannot find a single fault. This is also the only vacuum that allows me to clean under my king-size bed with ease. As a matter of fact, as long as you have at least 3 1/2 inches of space between the bed and the floor, you should have no problem accessing the areas under your bed: there are 55 inches from where I hold the handle (wand fully extended) to the tip of the actual suction case where the floor brush is located.
Features I like:
- as mentioned, you can reach under king size beds with ease
- the handle/wand is actually metallic: very sturdy and solid
- assembly took less than 2 minutes (and I was slow)

This is my first canister vacuum , up until this, I have only been used to uprights. Yes, the looks between the two are vastly different, but I have noticed that this has a much greater suction than the uprights and seems much easily to use and store. At first, it took a little while getting used to pulling another thing behind me but after a few weeks,it is no longer a burden. The canister barely bumps into things and I only had to move it 3 times to clean bigger rooms and steps. The nozzle is much wider and lower than I expected, making it clean a wider area and fit better under tables and couches. While the brush has a rotation, It is not as powerful as an upright, but the suction seems to more than make up for it. The automatic cord reel is also a real bonus for putting it away, but before you start vacuuming, you have to make sure you completely unwind it, otherwise the cord comes easily out of the wall. Nice canister vacuum
Right out of the box, the Panasonic Jet Force canister vacuum, is very easy to setup. There were very few parts that required assembly and as such, it didn't take much time before I was off and away, cleaning stuff.

Immediately I did notice that our pile carpet was thick and pushing the canister on the carpet wasn't that much fine. I did see that the suction was able to pickup most items but it was much more work to clean the carpet with this vacuum than our Sebo vacuum. Now, cleaning the stairs was a breeze on the other hand. The vacuum is not that heavy and it's easy to pickup and move about. The head has a nice swivel to it. Cleaning the hard surfaces was a breeze. Cleaning things up high was also a breeze. I did like that the vacuum wand telescopes out to a ridiculous length to clean up high.

The cord is long enough. I didn't notice that I ran out of cord. It's also nice that the cord retracts quite easily automatically via a push button...

Powerful, quiet fan - my best buddy when the power goes
It gets hot and sticky fast indoors when we lose power here in the subtropics. This sturdy fan, with its three wide blades at an overall 10" diameter, moves more air on low than my 10" O2 Cool fan does on high, and it's so soothingly quiet! Ahhhh...

Its oscillation range is fairly limited, but definitely enough to keep me comfortable while I'm moving around in a room like the kitchen, especially on high, it's a blast! When the power goes, I carry the fan with me by its fold-down handle from room to room. It's a must for the bathroom counter. In fact, that's where I "store" it, plugged in and charging, even though it's fairly large. It's substantially built, measuring 19 1/2" x 15" with a 12" x 6" footprint.

I haven't tested the battery to its limit. Luckily, the power has returned fairly quickly during the couple of outages we've had since I got it. The real test will be when the summer storms come (and we're not going anywhere near that H-word). But I have been...

Emergency fan
I bought this fan because excess heat can be a health problem for myself and my dogs. There have been so many storms with power loss this summer and afterwards even if we don't lose power, the electric company shuts off our power to repair the other lines. Now I don't have to worry about the loss of air conditioning and I don't even have to search for the radio. Amazon was the place to search for a fan this large without having to go from store to store. And we received it almost immediately! Thanks!

Best fan I've ever purchased thus far.
I live in a country where the local power goes out frequently for severl minutes (to a few hours) for load sharing in the summer months... this fan has made that seem to all go away. Especially if the power goes out in the night. The stock battery is good for 2 hours off of a full charge and if you spring to an additional battery thats 4hrs right there. I love this fan.

This works great if you are looking for a cook top that fits in a small area. Added a studio with a kitchenette. This allowed everything to fit in one small area, even a dishwasher.

Not as warm as I'd hoped, but it works,
Don't mistake this 5000BTU unit for those commercial heaters mounted waaay up high throwing heat like the sun.. 1500W is 1500W. But its safer than my propane radiant heater.

I hung this up over a work bench in my unheated garage. It was 40F and I was expecting a nice warm glow.. the glow was there but the heat was barely noticeable. Initially 7 feet from the floor and angled towards me, I wound up lowering it to 6 feet. My hands got cold so I held them inches away from the element to warm them up.. it took a few moments.

Also, this unit does not include any cord or plug as described. You'll have to mount a box on the side and provide your own wiring.. I used 12 gauge to be cautious but now I see 14 gauge would have been plenty.

EDIT: After having this for a few months I like it better.. but in colder weather use it along with my propane heater. for a freezing cold garage its not adequate even when standing right underneath. But in moderate...

Not rated for indoor residential use! It is clearly marked as such once you get it, but this information needs to be shown in the listing. Also as others pointed out, it needs to be hardwired to a wall switch, or you could attached a plug, but I think a switch installed by an electrician is a good idea, perhaps with a timer. This draws significant current, and has clearance requirements because of how hot it gets so a professional installation is required unless you are confident with electricity and heat.

As a radiant heater, it is nice. It casts warmth over a wide angle and fairly long length. People need to understand these type of heaters need to get red hot to work, so they will be bright, and that they only warm things in their line of sight, like the sun or a fire. If someone walks in between you and a camp fire, you immediately lose the warmth of the fire. Likewise, these only slightly raise the air temperature in a room, but they greatly warm whatever they shine...

Sportsman ICM6 6-Quart Old Fashion Ice Cream Maker

I started using my new ice cream maker on June 7TH,2009 and two days ago (June 29TH)it started skipping and we had to use the manual crank.
I have called the distributor "Unbeatable sales" 3 times and written an e-mail once. Customer service does not respond or answer their phones.

I think I have figured out now why they only give a 30 day warranty, they know it's a piece of junk. I have lost about $125 buying from this company so I can safely say:
I would never buy again from this company.

What they don't tell you in the write up is that this piece of equipment is cheap parts, shoddy workmanship and imported from China. Cost me $30 to return the piece of junk. Save your money and buy something worth keeping.

Homemade Crap Maker
I bought this for my mother as a Christmas present last year. It was broken out of the box when it was used for the first time this summer... Since the electric motor was broken we decided to try the manual crank. It turned and turned and turned and finally started to make loud popping noises so we figured the ice cream must be done. It was still runny but you couldnt crank it anymore! I looked for the warranty card and to my dismay it said 90 days... Do yourself a favor and don't buy this Chinese made piece of junk!

Fine, but good have been great.
I ordered this after looking everywhere for a ceiling fan with a light fixture which was appropriate for my turn of the century home. I eventually added this to a Hampton Bay Farmington fan from Home Depot. The light is smaller than I expected and it is sand blasted on the outside which gives it a very matte appearance. To my eye, the matte globe doesn't come across as authentically old, in that such globes where traditionally shiny milk glass. My main criticism is that the metal fitter that attaches the globe to the fan is incredibly thin, so that the set screws which support the globe really can't be tightened down without stripping out. Mine is above the foot of my bed so if it falls, no one is going to get hurt. If i had needed it for the living room or kitchen, I probably would have returned it or purchased another fitter and just used the globe.

Works well. Fit perfectly with the ceiling fan. The bulb that came with the light fixture was way too dim, and the socket underrated for the amount of light I need.

Toastess THP-433 Electric Double-Coil Cooking Range, White

Great little double burner
I was worried when I got this and found out that the second burner has reduced wattage. I tried it, feeling very skeptical, but even the low wattage burner gets hot enough to boil my coffee pot. One of the features I particularly like is, the burner temperature stays constant--so many of these things are built so that they reach a desired temperature then turn off till the temperature drops, then come back on. The Toastess comes on, stays on and doesn't fool around making your cooking take forever. The knobs are kind of cheap. Mine is less than two months old and the numbers are already wearing off a bit. They feel flimsy, though they've held up so far. The body of the burner is steel and it's pretty sturdy. It has three indicator lights, one in the center that shows it's getting power and one each for the burners to show when they are on. It's smaller than what I was using before, but can can still fit a 12 inch skillet and my coffee pot on the thing at the same time so I'm...

gets hot fast
It's a small, light-weight hotplate. My old hotplate (Kalorik) burned out, so I got this one as a replacement. The main advantage of this one over any other that I have ever seen is that it gets hot very, very fast. This is a good thing, unless you don't plan to actually use it to cook anything.

2 minor things that I don't like about it: 1) the burners are kind of small, and 2) It got so hot that some of the white paint chipped off already. If you don't want the paint to chip, only turn the knob to about 3/4 of the way to full-blast in order to boil water. Regarding the small burners...I'm not sure that any hotplate has huge burners, so that's kind of a non-issue.

Overall, it's a fantastic hotplate.

Avalon 3-qt. Whistling Tea Kettle Color: Cranberry

Very nice kettle
This is a nice teakettle to replace my most recent one that didn't work right. I love the color of this-it is kind of a blend between deep red and burgundy and it has a frosted appearance rather than glossy like most kettles. It holds a nice amount of water so that I don't have to do refills very often- good since we drink a lot of hot and iced tea. The only drawback is that you cannot open the spigot to pour the hot water and then leave it open to prevent further whistling. Since I like to leave the kettle on the hot burner until it cools down this can be a problem. I have to pour the water and then set the kettle off to the side or it will resume whistling.
The only other issue is that the latch that you push on the underside of the handle, to allow pouring water, has a black rubber cover to keep your finger cool. This cover slips around or comes off. I fixed it really simply by using a drop of glue and that keeps it in place now with no problem.
I do recommend this item...

I have a switched outlet under the deck attached to the rear of the house and it does get wet and is damp in this location. I needed a transformer designed for these conditions. It powers ten low voltage lights used for mood lighting in the back yard. A previously transformer corroded and was ruined in this location. The Kichler 15PL300AZT works marvelously in these conditions. It has been installed and in operation for two months and is working beautifully.

Picked up one of these Lasko Misters for a Memorial Day Barbeque we were hosting - when the temperatures were supposed to be in the 90's and there was a "Heat Warning" for our area. I HATE hot weather and spend most of my Summers indoors with the A/C on.
We set up the Lasko Misting Fan as we were getting ready for our guests. The mist definitely made me feel cooler... but I did notice the deck was getting quite wet near the unit. We tried adjusting everything - the tilt of the fan, the level of spray (3 levels) and the amount that our hose was turned on. Nothing seemed to keep the deck from periodically getting wet - sun and wind would temporarily let things dry up but it kept puddling. So we set it up just off our deck on a ladder - that way most of the 'excess' water fell on the bushes along the deck, and only a light spray got to the deck and the things and people on the deck. Love this fan!!! Great even without the mist. Powerful, quite,durable. It has been on my patio for almost two years now enduring the elements 24/7. I can't understand the reviews saying it got them wet. It is designed to spray water at you, of course you're gong to get wet!

SEBO 9587AM Automatic X5 Upright Vacuum, Blue/Yellow

Outstanding pick for pet hair removal!
Wow, it's been a month since my Sebo X5 arrived and am I impressed! I've owned several uprights before, but this is the first time I've bought specifically for pet hair removal from carpet. My choice came down to either one of the Dyson Animal products (which I'd heard of before) or this Sebo brand (which I hadn't heard of before). It was a real toss-up until I read the user comments on the two manufacturers' web sites. It seemed that the Dyson customers' comments ran a bit more negative and in particular some repeat customers complained about declining quality and degrading seals over time.

Some highlights:
1. Great ability to pick up hair entangled in area rugs (look like new now!), regular carpet, and hardwood and tile floors.

2. I can't believe how efficiently the machine packs the bag! When the vac tells me it's full I usually find a bit of a hairball caught up in the bag input, but no problem to remove. Suprisingly the bag is so full I can...

SEBO Auto X a winner - true work horse!
I think my Sebo died today. Not certain. I'm trying to remember exactly when I purchased my good buddy - I think it was around 2001. I do know I've never had one problem with it. Has never been in the shop until today. I'm hoping it's something very simple like it needs a new cord. However, I do know that if it's not fixable I'll be ordering one immediately. We have three dogs. Need I say more? One huge yellow lab. One black lab puppy and a boxer. They all excel at shedding and I fail at grooming. When I purchased this I remember the guys telling me it's the Mercedes of vacuums. German engineered. It's been wonderful to use. Along with the dogs we have two boys that aren't the neatest creatures either, imagine that....Eagerly awaiting phone call to tell me my Sebo's fate. Either way, we couldn't be more pleased with our Sebo. It has been a work horse!

Pineapple-Shaped Fan ... I like it!! :)
I purchased this fan in early spring and love it! I have it located on my kitchen counter and I use it almost daily. It's very attractive and I like the fact that the switch is located on the fan's cord. Also, small children cannot poke their fingers through the front or back of the fan. The fan has a nice handle in the back, so that it can be picked up and carried.

I read the only review attached to this product and was surprised the buyer rated it so low. But, if I had a problem with the varied speeds, I would not be happy either. I do hope it was packed up and returned. Also,I do not think the fan is overly noisy, but my kitchen is large, therefore the sound of it running does not overwhelm the room. I am very pleased with my fan and would purchase again.

I live in Hawaii and I have this fan in my Kitchen on the raised countertop behind my sink and food prep area. So when I'm working in that area I get a cool breeze and here's a little-known tip: when you're chopping onions, turn the fan on so the wind blows just below your chin: the fumes of the onion are blown away before they can get to your eyes; VIOLA! No tears!!

Anyway, the fan is gorgeous, well made, it has 2 speeds, and fits right in with my Tropical theme decor (Hellllooo, I live in Hawaii!). It does NOT look cheap at all.

I only wish it were a little quieter (although it's NOT super loud). I still give it 5 stars because of all the compliments I receive from my guests!!

I HIGHLY recommend this product. It's a little pricey but you know the saying: you get what you pay for. QUALITY PRODUCT!

Sunpentown IM-101 Portable Ice Maker with LCD

Greatest Ice Maker, look no longer
After a long research on the internet and several phone calls for the ideal Ice Maker, I finally decided to purchased the Sunpentown IM-101 portable ice maker. I have been using it straight, non stop for about 25 days. I have not turned if off since I unpacked and plugged it. The Sunpentown IM-101 works extremely well. I needed an ice maker in our apartment to produce ice cubes for a specific ice cooling machine, which my husband has been using after an orthopedic surgery. This ice maker machine has been the God sent to our family. The only drawback is that the machine, as with any other of its kind, is a bit too large. However, as far as operating it, its very easy. Just add the water, plug it in the AC, and it does all the work for you. I love the shape of the ice it produces, which is always great for our ice tea or cold drinks. I strongly recommend it. I had read several reviews prior to purchasing the Sunpentown IM-101. I did encounter very negative review on other brands...

Took a Lot of Prep Work...UPDATE..6 Months Old and It's Stopped Working. Check Out My Photos.
I purchased this based on all the great reviews. There are several reasons why I won't give this 5 stars and I was wavering between 3 and 4 stars.

It's not as easy as plug it in, add water and you have ice in 20 minutes. The instructions say to clean it thoroughly by running it through it's cleaning cycle with 1:1 ratio of water and white vinegar or lemon juice, then drain it. Add clean water and do the same again. Next, run it through it's first cycle and discard the first batch of ice. The ice had a horrible chemical odor and taste!! There were additional instructions if this should happen. Again, I added one cup of lemon juice (vinegar is hard to get rid of the odor)to an entire tank of water and run it through several cycles of ice. I had to throw away 4 or 5 baskets of ice. I then rinsed it with clear water in the cleaning cycle. Finally, the ice didn't have any odor!

I purchased one of these three years ago when my old ice maker died. This machine has been running virtually non-stop for three years and performs just like it is advertised. It makes ice fast! And the ice is great for making frozen drinks. Now I'm buying one for my friend. It can't keep up if you're having a party, but if you plan ahead, it will meet all of your ice needs. Redcore R2 IR Heater Black

Gotta Love the Redcore R2
This is the second one of these I purchased. The first one I purchased from K Mart. I am on my second season with it. I saw this one at this price and I just had to jump on. I have tried a bunch of these types of heaters and I think this one is, if not the best, one of the best. It is the best I have tried. One of my main gripes about all other heaters I have tried of this type is temperature control or should I say a lack of it. This heater comes on when it's supposed to and turns off when it's supposed to. The others I have tried go well past the temperature you set it for and once they do shut off they let the temperature fall way below where you set it for before they turn back on. Either it's too hot or too cold. This R2 keeps the room dead on within a degree or two of where you set it. That to me is why I bought this thing in the first place. I want comfort not misery. This unit is quiet, it is so quiet at times, you can hardly tell it's on. The others talk the talk about even...

ProSelect Standard Pet Crate Fan, Silver

Inferior product - not worth the money
This product worked for four or five hours before it stopped working. Customer service was slow to respond to emails but was reasonably helpful. They replaced the power cord, after which the fan worked for another hour or two before dying again. Rather than wasting any more of my time I'm going to buy a different product.

It might work more consistently on battery power, if that's what you want it for. I wanted it primarily for plug-in operation, and I don't recommend it for that application.

Everyone has one
I know what I am getting. Great for leaving dog in metal wire (only way it will stay mounted on) crate at dog shows. Everyone at shows use this . Buy batteries separately. Quiet . Durable. Has different settings and comes in different colors.

Sunpentown SO-2007 Convection Oven with Wok Base and Nano-Carbon and FIR Heating Element

Wok Base is the Perfect Design
I have used tabletop convection ovens for years because I like the way they seal the meat on the outside and roast thoroughly and evenly while still retaining the juices. Early models were a dome that sat over a shallow pan and allowed grease to escape and dribble down the sides. Then came models with the heating element and fan mounted on a lid that fit over a deep bowl. That eliminated the problem of liquids escaping, but occasionally I touched the backs of my hands to the hot glass while removing the meat and said very bad words. Sunpentown has created the perfect design with their wok-based model. No liquids escape, and I can remove the contents without any risk of burning myself. It sits up on a stand so that the hot wok base does not touch your countertop or table.

This is an ideal oven for roasting whole chickens. There's plenty of room for up to about a 6-1/2 pound bird. I roast chickens breast-side down on the included rack with a little fresh rosemary or...

Wok base is the best.
At first, I was really dismayed by the size of the wok base. It is wider and a bit shorter than the glass-bottomed ovens. I even tried to pawn it off on a family member and reorder a glass one. But, as things turned out, I would have to wait a while and use this wok-style countertop oven for a while longer. I'm still using it 2 years later.

My only real complaint with the countertop ovens is that the glass bottom is SO unwieldy and heavy. I never dropped it, but I was always afraid I would. That being said, the wok base is SO EASY to clean. Nothing sticks to it. Light and easy to handle. And I also think the air circulation is better.

When and if this one stops working (they all seem to last about 3 years with heavy use), I will make a point to buy the wok base again.

Simple to use, simple to clean
I've gone through my flavor wave phase and jet stream oven phase. Both of those served me well until the heating element failed on the flavor wave, and the fan failed on the jet stream. Even with how much I liked those two prior products, they were both a bitch to clean. Even if dishwasher safe, there was still a lot of food oils that would bake onto the covers and plastic lowers and not come off. So far, the non-stick wok base has been simple to clean as is the glass cover. The heating element advertises to be hotter than the jet stream, but so far appears to be on par. I'll have more insights after some more time with this convection oven.

Schrade SCHDDS Diamond Dust Sharpening Rod

A review about the diamond rod
I was a meatcutter for some 20 yrs,and was surprised to see a diamond sharpening rod for this price. To be honest, I am used to a "steel" that is about 11" or longer. This "steel" is quite short but, will do the job. When a diamond sharpener is used, it is better to use light quick strokes
rather than hard stokes when using this product...I think that it is worth the price and efficient when used correctly.

False image, but good tool.
Though the photo of the tool shows it looking like a green finished aluminum housing that the diamond rod unscrews from then force fits for use. Actually the housing is black ABS plastic and the diamond rod just sits in not very tightly, and you reverse it for use. I already owned a couple of these but when I saw the ad on Amazon I liked the idea of the aluminum housing and the threaded rod even better so I ordered three. You can imagine my disappointment getting three more of the plastic units. I find this ad grossly misleading but the units do a great job, I fillet a lot of fish and I'm able to keep my fillet knives as well as all my other knives super sharp.

Kitchen knives.
Used this for kitchen knives. Definitely makes them sharper, and another reviewer's comment about light, quick strokes is the way to go. I think I need to figure out how to handle it a little better. It is quite small, and the sharpener came in black plasticy-rubbery casing, not the green as pictured. Also the sharpening stick is a dark gray with a small indent on one side-- I'm assuming for sharpening serrated edges. And it works pretty well.

Griffin LT-118 Utility Sink with Drain, Stainless Steel

Great sink
This sink is built like a brick s*** house meaning that it is very tough/ virtually indestructible. That being said, there is one major weakness. The bottom of the tub is a little too flat, which impedes the flow of water down the drain. Second item to pay close attention to is the number of mounting holes in order to purchase the correct faucet. The datasheet says it has three mounting holes, but upon receiving mine it only had two! I contacted the company and they said that whomever is selling their sinks on amazon and plumber's supply is purchasing a variant with only two holes. I recommend buying the Moen 8287 faucet to fit the two holes.

Wireless indoor/outdoor thermometer
I have now had this product for about a month.It works well. The outdoor thermometer wireless signal has to pass through a brick clad external wall and at least two internal walls before reaching the base station. It seems to do this with ease, which is something the lower range (30 metre devices) will not do.

The clear surround is plastic, not glass, which is a little disappointing.

Steer clear of this product
Steer clear. I've tried to get the remote temperature sensor to connect with the base about two dozen times and it will not connect. I have ordered a replacement (from Amazon.com customer service which was amazingly helpful) but I would suggest to steer clear of this product.

Additionally the way the LCD is layered on the display it is impossible to read at an angle anymore than about 20 degrees from dead center. Not a good design.

TPI Corporation 198TMC Fan Forced Portable Heater, Radiant, 1500/900/600W, 120V

I have owned 10-12 of these Markel heaters over the last 40 years. The earliest were blue, then brown then white. The blue and brown work for years and years with only an occasional dust cleaning. The white models are China made and are OK except for one fatal flaw: the wire connections to the elements burn out and thus no heat is produced. Markel was good enough to replace my two heaters, but they too burned out. So I bought some good high heat wire connectors and a crimping tool, and replace/recrimp them as needed. (the old connectors fall apart like carbon.) Otherwise the heaters seem fine for my home and summer cabin. I realize this type of repair isn't for everybody but it works for me. Mind you I bought my last two heaters about 5 years ago so hopefully Markel has improved their Chinese connectors.
I do like the heat settings for these including the no fan lower setting.

After reading a couple of the favorable reviews I purchased this heater for my 80 year old mother. The heater broke within 45 days. I contacted TPI and they told me I had to go through the seller Antonline. Antonline told me they only had a 30 day return policy and after that it was not their responsibility. After numerous phone calls to TPI (the manufacturer) they said they were not going to honor the warranty because I had purchased it from an unauthorized retailer. They said that they had received a number of complaints from customers about the heater and unless the heaters came from one of their authorized dealers they we not going to replace them. I told them as a consumer I should not have to be responsible for verifying who is authorized to sell a company's products.

They responded that my complaint along with the others had been discussed at the highest levels in the company and that the decision to not honor the warranty was final. I filed a complaint with...

198TMC PORTABLE HEATER
We have purchased a large quantity of these fans for use at mountain-top communications sites that can get pretty chilly in the winter months. Over the years, these have proven to be very robust, dependable heaters. They are also great camping heaters in that, on the LOW setting, the fan does not kick on and off, or run at all. If you're a light sleeper, this allows you to sleep, while still getting plenty of radiant heat with a thermostat setting. The LOW setting is enough to keep a 24-foot trailer nice and warm inside while outside temperatures are in the 40's. The low setting is also nice since it is not drawing much current through your trailer's electrical wiring. These are sturdy heaters and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Great Northern Popcorn 6093 Anytime Antique Popcorn Maker

best thing on the planet
This is the best thing we ever bought. My Husband loves it. We have tried a lot of popcorn in it, but the best is individual packets from Orson Gigis. A little more money than we were going to spend, but worth every penny.

Cord Worries me
The picture on the website show the electric cord attached to the kettle covered with flexible metal insulation. Mine is only covered with the rubber like most regular electric cords. I worry that it will come in contact with the kettle and melt.

Work great most of the time but it is sometimes difficult to get the cork to back out of the opener. It sticks on both natural cork and synthetic.

I received this for Christmas and it was returned within a week. Three corks were removed from the bottles and all three had to be 'manipulated' to get the corks out of the unit. All were driven straight through the cork and not on an angle. Be extremely carefull when removing a cork from the unit as the corkscrew will go quickly into your finger.

Failed in 9 months
My husband got this for me for Christmas last year. I was relatively pleased because it was very easy to use and seemed to be able to open even difficult bottles although the included foil cutter never actually cut the foil. However, recently I tried to open a bottle of white wine and heard a "pop" and the cork screw broke off at the top. I realize that some bottles may be particularly difficult for some reason (although white wine is usually not a problem), but this product apparently doesn't have anything that senses that the cork is too tight and forces it to shut off before it breaks. I would say don't waste your money.

Vinotemp VT-18TEDS Thermo-Electric Digital 18-Bottle Wine Chiller, Black and Stainless

Adequate, but too small
Pros: Looks nice, easy interface, temperature control is pretty quick. The other review is right, the packaging is very good.

Cons: The big con is that this unit will NOT fit all 750ml bottles adequately. I bought a long-necked bottle of Riesling...it's an inch too long to fit! I had to lay it diagonally across the bottom tray, taking up 3 spaces. I bought a wide 750ml bottle of Pinot, and a bottle of port..they're too wide to fit the middle racks. I have to stick them in the top rack. Ok, I understand it's not meant to hold 18 port bottles but you'd figure that the rest of the wider red bottles should fit. But no. Even some other moderately-wide 750ml bottles seem to have trouble fitting into the middle racks.

If the unit was just a little a couple inches taller and deeper to accommodate more 750ml bottle shapes, it would be a great device. As is, expect to fit about ~15 bottles, and have some squeezing/rearranging issues.

Vinotemp VT-18TEDS
I've had this unit for about 3 weeks and it's running quite well. It arrived quickly and undamaged. Packing could have been better but since it arrived OK, no problem. It fits 18 normal wine bottles (750ml). It's quite quiet (certainly less noisy than the Cusinart I had). Temperature is adjustable and accurate. Obviously it allows for one temperature, so if you like your white wines chilled you'll probably have to move it to the fridge and hour before you open the bottle.
Overall I'm very happy with this unit. We called a wine store for a recommendation and this is the manufacturer he recommended.

Looks good, runs fine...for 9 months.
Purchased this wine cooler in November '10, stopped working in July '11. When i first began using it, it took awhile to get down the to proper temperature - something like 3 days. But once it did, it was fine. However, when summer came along the unit couldn't get the temp below 65 degrees, sometimes struggling at 68-69 degrees. After about a week in the high sixties, the temp shot up to 80 degrees, even though the temperature of the room was in the mid 70s. Warranty is 90 days, so I now have to purchase a replacement cooling system for $50 - i hope the service instructions are good.

Poor quality, I would look elsewhere.

They sent the wrong cooling system first, then when the correct unit came, it did not work. This whole experience from the product to the service has been a joke.

Simply put this fan does NOT oscillate -AT ALL! It does however make a lot of noise when feebly attempting to oscillate which is a perfect antidote if you really do not want to fall asleep.

I got a waffle maker and this waffle mix many years ago for Christmas from my parents. The waffle mix is soooooo good that my family makes me serve them for breakfast every Saturday morning as a treat. I have tried so many other mixes that people have told me about and they do not compare at all. They are very light but full tasting. We even take leftovers and the kids eat it for breakfast the next day. I use eggbeaters instead of eggs and applesauce instead of oil. They are still very light and tasty! They cook on my wafflemaker in less than three minutes. Gotta keep coming back to Amazon for more when we are done as they don't sell it in the stores.

I bought this with my waffle maker only to find that I need to add all the ingredients that I would have to add to plain flour. And the recipe that came with my waffle maker using plain flour makes better waffles.

Impossible to wire
I found this Dimplex EF12 2000 watt wall mounted heater to be impossible to wire using the 12guage romex that I had in the wall. There isn't enough room to make connections inside the small area that they provide to make connections and there is a u shaped piece of sheet metal on the back of the unit that goes around 3 side of the connection box that would cut the insulation on the romex if it rubbed against it.

US buyers beware
This product may be a five star item, but I have no idea because it requires 240 volts to run. It's made in England. Perhaps it is noted in the fine print somewhere, but I saw no mention of this, and didn't find out until I had the box in my hands. So anyone in the US looking to buy a small wall mounted heater needs to look elsewhere.

Closet Ionic Air Purifier

Awesome for my Dorm Room
WOW!!! I was VERY pleasantly surprised with this product!! I live in a dorm room which, like many other dorms, has a nasty mold smell throughout the building. My clothes always have a musty smell and I hate it! I have an air purifier in my room, but it doesn't do much for my clothes. I also have Damp-Rid humidity traps in the closet, which also dont do much about the smell. After just a day of having this product in my closet it already smells MUCH better! I opened the closet door and immediately smelled fresh, crisp air. My clothes have already lost some of the wet, moldy smell. The unit has a long cord (about 4 feet) which easily reaches out of the closet to the electric socket, and the unit is very quiet! (only a very small static buzz can be heard when close to the unit). Definitely would recommend to a friend! I may buy another one for my room!

This is a great refreshner for my cloth sitting in my closet. Very pleased with this product.

Love this ionic air freshener...
This works. You can smell the freshness when it goes into 'burst' mode. I also like that they include a power cord so you don;t have to always use batteries. I had some of these years ago from Sharper Image but they eventually gace out (after many years and many batteries). These are compact, so I can put them where needed -- in case my condo neighbors decide to cook something strong smelling or smoke a cigar. They keep my jackets and coats fresh so I have to dry clean them less often. One is used to keep my walk in closet fresh. You will like these a lot! The only thing that I would change is I wish they had longer cords (I use an extension cord when needed.).

Sunpentown WC-12 ThermoElectric 12-Bottle Wine Cooler

DON'T BOTHER
This is a piece of junk. It can barely keep wine cool in the winter with the heat off. The fan runs all the time no matter what. Furthermore, when the room temperature is a tad bit above 70 degrees, the light starts flashing along with a constant beeping. The only way to stop this, is to unplug it.

The manufacturer offers no suggestion other than saying it's probably the pc. In my mind "pc" is personal computer, not microprocessor which is probably what is controlling the light flashing and beeping. The manufacturer offers no method of getting a unit which is properly working, even though they shipped the original flashing and beeping unit. They consider it yours because you, well, opened their box. This is the kind of treatment that gives a bad name to internet shopping.

Hamilton Beach 8 Cup Food Processor

Reliable.
I've had this food processor for several years now. I use it probably about once/twice a week to slice and puree. It gives consistently good results. I'm on Amazon now looking for a replacement "gate" for this, the part that stops the food from flying down the chute. I can't seem to find it here, and Hamilton Beach charges an arm and a leg for shipping a $7 part! I definitely love this appliance, though.

Excellent food processor
I purchased this food processor to make a dish for the holidays. It worked better than expected, I was able to make my dish and its ready for use anytime I need it. This processor allows me to use a special adapter and make pasteles a Spanish dish.

Worked one time
Lost $50+, and almost a small finger tip on the blade trying to make it work.
Since I tossed the defective food processor in the garbage out of disgust,
I can not be refunded my money, as some retailers have done,

Does Not Purify, But DOES LEAK!
Attention readers who want a filter that delivers pure, clean, uncontaminated water... Straight from the box: "This filter is not intended to purify water."

With no filter in place, the water dispenser on your refrigerator can't operate because there's a big gap between the incoming water line and the water dispenser on your fridge door. This will solve that problem. It bridges the gap between the water line coming into your fridge and the water dispenser on your fridge door. That's all I can say for it though. As a filter, it's worthless - at least the manufacturer admits that in the label warning quoted above, straight from the box the filter comes in!

Yay, this filter is labeled as a "Green" product. Ecologically friendly plastic, huh? Who's zooming who, folks? I'd rather just hug a tree than drink industrially polluted water, and that's what flouridated water is. There is no process of burning to create carbon for use in this filter. But the trade-off is that...

I bought this because the kitchen sink in my ancient (117 year old) house was not getting adequate ventilation and was filling up when the dishwasher ran. Went to my local Home Depot and had the typical idiot experience. Three employees walk up to me and ask if they can help. I say, "Yes, thank you, I need an air gap for my dishwasher and can't find one." The response was blank stares. Then they hailed the plumbing "expert." He said, "Oh, you mean an inline air intake." I said, "No, I mean an air gap for my dishwasher." He leads me to an aisle where he picks up an inline air intake and hands it to me. I say no thanks I want an air gap, just like I said. Then I go home and order the correct part on Amazon. Fast delivery. Easy install. Works great. Don't know why I ever bother going to the big box stores for anything other than the most common items.

NOT Stainless steel, deceptive description
The decription is deceptive...

It is not stainless steel... just Pastic Nickle plated to LOOK LIKE stainless steel.

It works and is very easy to install. Not much that sticks up above the sink. No need to spend more on a different unit.
