Waring Pro WO40 Cordless Wine Opener, Black/Brushed Stainless

Good but not excellent
Work great most of the time but it is sometimes difficult to get the cork to back out of the opener. It sticks on both natural cork and synthetic.

Waring Pro WO40
I received this for Christmas and it was returned within a week. Three corks were removed from the bottles and all three had to be 'manipulated' to get the corks out of the unit. All were driven straight through the cork and not on an angle. Be extremely carefull when removing a cork from the unit as the corkscrew will go quickly into your finger.

Failed in 9 months
My husband got this for me for Christmas last year. I was relatively pleased because it was very easy to use and seemed to be able to open even difficult bottles although the included foil cutter never actually cut the foil. However, recently I tried to open a bottle of white wine and heard a "pop" and the cork screw broke off at the top. I realize that some bottles may be particularly difficult for some reason (although white wine is usually not a problem), but this product apparently doesn't have anything that senses that the cork is too tight and forces it to shut off before it breaks. I would say don't waste your money.

Waring Pro WP55 Cordless Wine Preserver, Black/Brushed Stainless

wine preserver stoppers
I would like to purchase some more stoppers but can not find where to purchase?? Very important and was left off list of availability.

I use it almost daily
I love it. I got it for Christmas, so I've had it only two months, its super easy to use. I'm even thinking about buying one for my sister.

Straight Out of the Box Failure
Brand new. Charged for a week (you can't tell if it is fully charged, as per the manual, the red light stays on whether charged or charging) and it does not work at all. Nothing, nada, no noise, no vacuum, nothing. A total bust. Judging by the other reviews these things are really hit or miss. Score mine as a complete miss.

Zojirushi EA-TAC35TK Gourmet Sizzler Electric Griddle

BIG
This seems to be a great unit. So far it cleans well without chipping, which was my biggest concern when ordering. One small problem is that there is a space between the cooking unit and the base unit which allows food to spill through.

The biggest concern I have to pass on is that this unit is really BIG. The description mentions that the cooking surface is 13.7", but does not mention that the base unit is 18.5" wide, so make sure you have a space to store it. I had to store mine in my oven.

Electric skillet with good safety features.
In my experience, the manufacturer, Zojirushi, makes well-designed products with one or more innovative features that set their products apart from others. In this case the safety features stand out.

This large skillet comes in five pieces. The glass lid, the durable skillet with its titanium ceramic coating, the hot plate base, the plastic base in which everything else fits, and the temperature control plug. Everything comes apart for easy cleaning, so even though there is a large gap between the skillet and the base (otherwise it would melt) spills clean easily.

Because there is a large insulating base, you don't need to worry about damaging your counter tops even though the skillet heats up to 480 degrees. The plug cannot be inserted into the hot plate base unless the skillet is in position on top of the hot plate, and once it is plugged in the skillet locks in place. In other words, it is impossible to expose the hot plate while hot unless you specifically...

I love this skillet!
Well, I needed to replace my old skillet that died. After hearing about the horrors of Teflon and other non-stick coatings that can come off and toxify foods, I conducted research into alternatives. I could not be happier with the titanium ceramic surface of this skillet! I use it all the time and with metal utensils, and it looks just like new. It is soooo easy to just wipe clean. It all disassembles easily so cleaning is not a problem. I saw in another review that there was a crevice food could fall into and not be reachable and I'm thinking that person must not realize it all comes apart. I love the size -- just a little larger than most others. I highly recommend this skillet!!!
